I’ve been watching the news and shows like Intervention on TLC and I can’t believe some of the things people do to themselves. I mean either to punish themselves or just to get high.
One of the shows that I’m talking about is that one on TLC that shows people addicted to eating weird things like couch stuffing or hair. How can people possibly eat that kind of stuff and live? Really!
Then there are people that get high on bath salts. First .. I want to know how someone figured out that you could get high on bath salts? It had to be someone with a weird eating fetish that discovered this side effect, right? LOL .. well now these people can get bath salt abuse addiction rehab treatment if they really want it. I have no idea how you’d go about treating this kind of addiction, but I guess someone has figured it out.
I wonder what the next strange addiction or fad is going to be? So … have you watched any of these strange TLC shows? Where do they find these people?

I truly, truly hope the author of this piece honestly doesn’t think the product spoken about are bath salts in the traditional sense. They are research chemicals marketed as “bath salts; not for human consumption” in order to dodge laws, and therefore keeping them legal. You will also see them labeled as plant food, shoe shine, among many other names. The effects of these salts are similar to meth or coccaine and are so easy to get. I am an adult female who does not drink, smoke, do any drugs other than salts. I have been addicted to them for 6 months. I order them online and they cost $40 per gram. I have researched them, and have made the decision to do them. I have no negative side effects, making them very hard to give up when the effects are so euphoric. Please make no mistake about it; this stuff is toxic. This is not a fad, and parents need to confront children immediately as these drugs are quickly running rampant throughout the country. This kind of addiction is treated in treatment facilities just as it would be treated any other substance. Wow, this is such a die hard problem, I just wish the smallest amount of research had been done before writing this article, and hope readers will read this comment….it is THAT important.
